Buying 

How does shipping work?

We don't want you to worry about shipping. Shipping is included anywhere within Canada.

How do I make sure the outfit fits me?

The best thing about sarees, one size fits all! There are no sizes with sarees. The matching blouse (unstitched) will be accompanying your saree when you make a purchase. Check out Your Sarista's designer sarees which come with semi stitched designer blouses.

Can I cancel my order and refund my purchase if I don’t want to go through with my order anymore?

Our policy for cancellations and refunds lasts 5 days from date of purchase. Should you wish to cancel your order within 5 days of making the purchase you will be eligible for a full refund. If 5 days have surpassed since your purchase, you will be refunded 90% of the purchase price to account for any general and administration costs that Your Sarista has already incurred to get your saree ready for shipment.

Can I make returns?

Our policy for returns lasts 5 days from the date the item was delivered to the customer. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must be shipped back to our Brampton Headquarters in the original packaging. To complete your return, send an email to customerservice@yoursarista.ca quoting your order number and stating a valid reason for your return. You will be refunded the full amount less shipping costs.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: 

  • Any item not in its original condition or is damaged for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 5 days after delivery. 

We do not facilitate any returns or exchanges on international orders outside of Canada. These items are final sale.

Rentals

How can I borrow a saree from Your Sarista?

Browse through Your Sarista's rental collection to find a saree you want to borrow for an event, then request to see if the rental is available for your event date. Once you've received approval from Your Sarista on your rental date, you will have to sign the rental agreement (which will be e-mailed to you and is also available under the saree rental tab), proceed to check out and your saree will arrive at your door in time for the event date you requested. 

How early do I have to reserve a rental?

It's recommended that you reserve a rental atleast 1 week prior to your event to ensure that your saree is available and Your Sarista has sufficient time to ship it to you in time for your event. Your Sarista wants to make sure you get to borrow the saree of your choice so reserve as early as possible to avoid disappointment with availabilities. 

How long can I rent the saree for? Can I rent the saree for longer?

Your Sarista has a rental period of 5 days for the saree you borrow. This 5 day period will start from the day you receive your saree. It is expected that you ship the saree back on the fifth (last) day of the rental period using the return shipping label that will be provided with the saree.

If you want to rent the saree for a longer period of time don't sweat it. Simply provide details on your extended rental period request when requesting the availability date for the rental and Your Sarista will get back to you to let you know if this option is available for the saree you wish to borrow. 

I'm in love with the saree. Can I buy it ?

How many times have you borrowed your friend's dress that you just didn't want to return? Your Sarista understands that you might just fall in love with a saree you initially rented so send Your Sarista sales an e-mail and if your rented saree hasn't already been booked for another event date we'll simply charge you the Retail price and the saree is yours to keep!

How does shipping work?

There are two options for rentals. The first option is to pick the item up from our Brampton headquarters. You can arrange a pick-up time with us. The second option is to get the item sent to you at your own cost however please ensure that this is communicated to Your Sarista so that the item will get to you in time for your special event. 

Are there late penalties if I don't ship it within the required time period? 

It is expected that you make arrangements to ship the saree you borrowed back to Your Sarista on the last day of the rental period at the latest. This means that you will only be able to have possession of the saree for a maximum of 5 days as it must be shipped by you on the fifth day. Your Sarista will be able to view the shipping details using the return label for shipping that was provided to you with the saree when you first received it. If you decide to drop off the saree at our Brampton headquarters rather than shipping it, please ensure it is dropped off on the fifth day. 

Late fees will be charged $5/day for five days (max of $25 late fee). If the saree has not been shipped by the 5th day after the termination of your rental period you will be charged the retail price of the saree under the assumption that it will not be returned to us. 

Will I receive a saree blouse? 

Sarees being borrowed do not come with a blouse. If you require one, feel free to browse through Your Sarista's Ready Made Blouses collection to purchase a ready made blouse to go with the saree you are borrowing. Please note that Your Sarista does not rent saree blouses, so you get to keep the beautiful blouse.

What if I damage the saree?

Wear and tear damages which include minor stains, missing beads/stones will be borne by Your Sarista. However, any significant damages to the saree that will need to be repaired before another rental will be charged to you as per the terms and conditions you agreed on by renting the saree. 

Am I responsible for cleaning the saree?

Your Sarista does your dry cleaning. Once you receive your borrowed saree in the mail, rock it to your event, put it right back in the box and send it back to Your Sarista. We'll take care of the dry cleaning.

What if the saree doesn't come on time for my event?

Your Sarista recommends that you select a request a rental availability date atleast one day prior to your actual event to allow enough time for you to receive your rental saree. In the case you do not receive your saree on the date you have requested let Your Sarista know and we'll express deliver a replacement outfit of equal value. 

Do you ship outside Canada. 

Yes we do ship outside Canada for an additional shipping fee of $15.

When is my credit card charged?

Your credit card will only be charged for damages, late fees, or unreturned sarees. Charges for damages if any will be charged once Your Sarista has finished inspecting the returned saree. Late fees will be charged daily at the rate of $5/day for a maximum of 5 days. If the saree is not received by Your Sarista within five days of the termination of your rental agreement period, the retail value will be charged to your credit card on the 6th late day.
